“My approach to the series of Flat Vessels is more like that of a painter than a glassblower. Atypical to a more traditional approach to blown glass, the idea behind these pieces was to create a simple form that allowed a ‘canvas’ for my complex and multi-layered glass compositions.” Randi F. Solin

Earthtone 13 x 10 x 4 Hand-shaped free blown glass off the pipe, with a multi-layering coloration built from gold ruby frit, gold and green aventurine frit and cane, and sterling silver leaf. Cut and polished top.

Thank you Lyle Petersen of Lybar Forge for this gorgeous serving piece. And to Vicki Skemp for this beautiful feed sack quilt circa 1930’s that she rescued!
